Reaching Out
A cry that nobody hears
Is the saddest cry of all
My arms reach out
I clutch.... empty air
I look for warmth
And find only cold
I seek the light
but darkness dominates
I cry.... silent tears
I scream out
but in silence
My heart aches for love
But not a whimper I make
I look for support
But nobody can see
The pain of growth
As I stumble towards
My future
Scared as I may be
Uncertain at times
My strength will come
From my inner need
