Surrounded by darkness
I used my heart
to light my way through.
It shines so bright,
because you are closed up in it
and our love makes it bright
this light I used,
to shine my way,
through the darkness
which surrounded me,
last time you left me behind.
Going as fast as I can
to find an end,
I can't see one,
but you light my way,
and so I found one,
a coloured exit,
found it with a heart which shines bright:
bright enough to lead my way
through darkness.
